OUR BELIEFS.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

  • The inspiration of the Bible: The scriptures are infallible, divinely inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and conduct.
  • The Trinity: There is one true, eternal God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
  • The Person and Work of Jesus Christ: Jesus is the divine Son of God. His life was sinless, and through His death on the cross and subsequent resurrection, He provided the only means of Salvation and redemption for humanity.
  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit: Pentecostals believe in the baptism of Holy Spirit, an empowering experience subsequent to salvation. This experience is historically evidenced by speaking in tongues.
  • Spiritual Gifts: The supernatural gifts of the Spirit (such as prophecy, healing, and miracles) as outlined in the New Testament are active, necessary, and expected in the Church today.
  • Divine healing: Physical and emotional healing is provided for in the Atonement of Christ and is accessible today in response to prayer.
  • Sacraments and Ordinances: The typically include water baptism by full immersion (as a public declaration of faith) and the observance of the Holy Communion.)
  • The return of Christ: The imminent, literal, and bodily return (Second Coming) of Jesus Christ is the “Blessed Hope of the Church.”
